Strawberry Tops Syrup

Strawberry Tops Syrup in mason jar garnished with basil

Use what you would usually throw away to make a delicious syrup that can be used as a simple syrup for mocktails and cocktails, a topping on your pancakes, in salad dressings, or anything else you’d like!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups strawberry tops
  • 1 ½  cups sugar or sugar substitute
  • 1 ½ cups water

DIRECTIONS

  1. Put all ingredients in a stockpot and bring to a boil.
  2. Turn down to a simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Strain the tops and return liquid to the pot.
  4. Simmer until desired consistency.
